At Elisava we believe that you are who must decide your own path. Together we will rethink the limits of design and engineering, and all its disciplines so that you have all the necessary tools, knowledge and resources to get the most out of your time at the School. We want you to maximise your abilities and build step by step the profile of engineer that you want to be.
We believe in "doing" as an engine for change and innovation. Therefore, our educational model is based on project work, where all disciplines coexist and combine to obtain the most original and disruptive results possible. You will learn to generate ideas and overcome challenges that shape new paradigms and realities.
We think of the School as a hub of connections and, therefore, we encourage and strengthen relationships with the business and institutional fabric, the design and engineering professionals and our alumni. Thus, you will have at your disposal a network of national and international contacts of first line, whether you are taking an internship, participating in projects or doing an Erasmus programme.
Do you like maths, but you spend most of your day drawing? Do you love to think about products, spaces and their aesthetics, but physics is intriguing and exciting?
Elisava offers you the possibility of combining the studies of the Degree in Design and the Degree in in Engineering in Industrial Design through adouble degree program composed of 17 teaching quarters (6 years).
The Program of Simultaneous Studies offers you the possibility of training, complementing the creative competences acquired in the Degree in Design with the technical preparation enhanced in the Degree in Engineering in Industrial Design. It is a unique, necessary and avant-garde proposal, especially valuable in a world in which it is increasingly important to have a holistic profile that tackles design and product development projects in a global manner.
Therefore, taking this double program gives you the opportunity to develop this more complete profile since the coexistence of design and engineering in the same space generates value. For us, the union of the design and the creative process is fundamental since engineering is the key to design a dialogue in a multidisciplinary and transversal manner, not only with industry but also with institutions and entities.
