The ei! Awards 2024 highlight Elisava’s best Final Degree Projects
The 13th edition of Elisava’s ei! Awards has recognized, one more year, the best Final Degree Projects of the promotion 2023-24. The announcement and presentation of the awards took place during the Graduation Ceremony of the University Degrees of the faculty, held on October 2nd at the International Convention Center of Barcelona (CCIB).
These awards distinguish the Final Degree Projects of Elisava’s students, taking into account criteria of conceptualization, innovation, functionality, development and methodology, as well as the social, economic and environmental viability of the projects. The jury of this edition was formed by:

Jury’s decision: For its dynamism as an excellent graphic proposal that joins the digital part with the physical part adapting it to the user and using typography with a clear social and innovative vision, as well as its positioning in terms of expressive, social and technical issues with a perfect scientific rigor.

Jury’s decision: For opening a new window to the company with which it has collaborated, to bet on the ability to innovate and propose new business models. The Jury also values the aesthetic, silent and respectful proposal of the project, which in turn achieves a creative and innovative approach.
The Lightcode: A Journey Through Emotional Connectivity, by Alicia Llinares

Jury’s verdict: A TFG that humanizes technology, creating a link between the human, technology and emotion through a product that unites the romanticism of personal and family relationships with intimacy.
Marisa. A phygital bridge treasuring Grandma’s affection beyond smartphone boundaries, by Marta Pou de Avilés

Jury’s decision: For proposing new times in human relationships, fleeing from the immediate communication in which we are all immersed. Also for betting on a project that transmits affection in interpersonal relationships, mixing the analogical with the digital.

Jury’s decision: For presenting an interesting concept of space, presenting a public square as a habitable space capable of generating connections between the people who pass through it. It also highlights its creation of a space on a human scale in harmony with the environment.
Phygital Human Bone 2.0, by Mario Fradera
Tutored by: Juan Crespo, Marco Gesualdo
Jury’s decision: For its degree of development and its multidisciplinarity, ranging from the specific design of microscopic structures to the development of algorithms for the generative process. In addition, the winning TFG is part of a research project funded by the administration, which currently has the capacity to take a step closer to the industry.

Jury’s decision: For its nature as a social project whose main objective is to improve the quality of life of human beings. Also the autonomous, precise and rigorous work of its authors and their vision of engineering from the care and emotion.
Redesign and Optimization of a Triple Clamp using Generative Design, by Clàudia Clavé
Tutored by: Albert Sosa
Jury’s decision: For its innovative nature in terms of the processes used, from design to data management and subsequent implementation in the market. It also highlights its creation of a parametric tool through simulation and generative design, and the paradigm shift it proposes in the relationship between design and engineering.
Diàleg, by Ona Boix

Proposal for a new way of inhabiting heritage architecture, applying this approach directly to the Casa Gomis, La Ricarda. A project born from a personal experience with the house, turning it into a social and human challenge, and a residential center for the research and study of design, architecture, culture and the arts.
The students with the Best Academic Record for the 2023-2024 academic year were Andie Puentes (Degree in Design) and Alícia Roca (Degree in Industrial Design Engineering), who received the award from Natàlia Aparici, a student who won the award in the same category for the 2022-2023 academic year.
