Xavi Riudor is Director of the Master’s Degree in Product Design and Development since 2005. From the direction of the Postgraduate program in Product Development, he has promoted different academic projects in collaboration with companies such as Educa Borrás, Lamp, Casualplay, Santa & Cole, Imctoys, Figueras, Watergush, Comas, Taurus Group…
Quality Award in Teaching 2018 of the Social Council of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, in the modality of teaching activity in a Master’s Programme.
Speaker at the X International Congress of University Teaching and Innovation (CIDUI). Oral communication: “La implicació docent de les empreses en el Treball Final de Màster. Una aplicació de l’aprenentatge basat en projectes” (2018).
Professor of several technical subjects of the Degree in Industrial Design Engineering of ELISAVA, since 1999. He has also directed numerous TFG (BA Thesis) in areas related to energy, technology and mechanics. Tutoring of several TFGs carried out in collaboration with companies such as Zumex, Cata, Monty, Cruz Roja, Vallfirest, Fyla Laser…
Part-time associate professor at the UPC (EUETIB). Associated Category Type-II, obtained by high grades in the student surveys for the evaluation of the teaching quality (2000 to 2012).
CAD/CAM/CAE application engineer at CADTECH. Support in engineering and commercial department projects (demonstrations and benchmarks), and training in Catia to different client companies: Alstom, Valeo, Ficosa, Magna Systems, Kuka, Frape Behr, Soler y Palau, Rucker … (1995-1998).
He has held different positions in ELISAVA: Head of the Engineering Projects area (1999-2006), Academic Coordinator of the Degree in Industrial Design Engineering (2006-2010), Head of the Science and Technology Area of the Degree in Industrial Engineering Design and the Degree in Design (2010-2016), Responsible for Curricular Practices and Companies (from 2016 to 2017).
Currently he focuses his research on the evaluation of the competences reached by graduates in Industrial Design Engineering and in the different collaborations between the University and the industrial product manufacturing companies.
