He holds a PhD in Architecture from the UPC (2011) and an architect from the UPM (1985). Director of the Master in Interior Design for Hotels, Bars and Restaurants; Director of the Postgraduate Programme in Interior Design. Work Spaces and the Master’s Degree in Interior Space Design; Master’s area coordinator at Elisava; and tutor of BA thesis (TFG). He is a member of the team responsible for the line of research “Decoding Wellness” of Elisava. He has been Academic Director of Elisava between 2011 and 2014.
He has been Associate Professor at the ETSAV-UPC, in the Department of Architectural Composition, between 1993 and 2011; and FPI Scholar by the Higher Center for Scientific Research (CESIC) between 1989 and 1993.
He has been practicing architecture since 1982. Initially in collaboration with other architects. In 1998, he founded the studio GS Arquitectura, where new construction and renovation works are carried out in the areas of equipment, housing, offices, interior design, and rehabilitation. He has published several texts on modern conception of space, work space and housing. Among them, the most relevant are: Indeterminación, complementación, apropiación. “Notas sobre la adaptación funcional del interior habitado” (Temes de Disseny nº 30); and Espacio fluido versus espacio sistemático (edicions UPC), as well as his online contributions “Los límites de la oficina”.
