Ramon Faura, PhD
Coordinator of the Context Area of the Degree in Design and Innovation

Ramon Faura Coll is a musician and PhD architect (ETSAB, UPC, 2013). He is the coordinator of the Social Area at the Elisava School; where he teaches subjects related to design, architecture, theory of technology and projects. He has taught at other universities such as ETSAB, ETSAR and Di Tella in Buenos Aires. Between 2003 and 2006 he was editor-in-chief of Quaderns d’Arquitectura i urbanisme, official magazine of the College of Architects of Catalonia.
He has curated exhibitions such as “Arquitectures sense lloc” (2009) at the Arts Santa Mónica center (Barcelona) or the 2018 FadFest dedicated to tourism. He has lectured at the New York University, KTH in Stockholm, the School of Landscaping in Dresden or the ETSAM. He has published articles in different media; chapters for collective books such as “Enric Miralles 1972-2000” (2011), “Cultura en tensión” (2016) or “Destino Barcelona,1911-1991” (2018); and three monographs: “Louis XIV in Royal Costume: The Decapitation of the mystical body” (2010); “La máquina Versalles” (2014); “Desplazamiento y ruina” (2015). He has also directed a documentary about tourism, “L’Estat turístic” (2019).
In the musical sector, he participated in the Domus Project (Illa Diagonal and Gracia Terrirori Sonor, 2010). As a professional, he has published eleven LP with different formations (Yak 42, Macho, Le Petit Ramon and Azucarillo Kings), being in charge of the production in eight of them.
Now, he is currently working on the book “Desplazamiento y Ruina” on critical architecture and technology.
