Rafael Pozo-Puértolas, PhD
Assistant Professor, Director of the Master’s Degree in Applied Research in Design and coordinator of the Postgraduate Degree Mention In Research (ISEC Lisbon)
Rafael Pozo-Puértolas holds a PhD in Communication – UPF Pompeu Fabra University. Specialty in Scientific Communication Design. He is also coordinator of the Mention in Research Program that takes place in Elisava in collaboration with TGRAF ISEC Lisbon Portugal; a pre-doctoral training program that focuses on applied research in design.
In the professional field, he has extensive experience as a graphic designer linked to the graphic industry and the industrial production of printed books. He is the author of numerous books, articles and technical essays. He currently directs the content edition of the EdCPG publishing house. Founding partner of the graphic industry Ediciones CPG, he collaborates nationally with the UNE Spanish Standardization as an expert technician in ISO standardization (ISO Standards – TC 130 Graphic Technology).
In the teaching field, he teaches in the Degree in Design and Innovation at Elisava; Master in Publishing BSM/UPF Barcelona School of Management Pompeu Fabra University; and ISEC Lisbon – Instituto Superior de Educação e Ciências Lisboa ECAIC; among other schools. He currently directs the International Center for Studies and Research in Graphic Technology and Scientific Communication. TGRAF ISEC Lisbon – Portugal.
Since the 2024-25 academic year he is co-director of the Master’s Degree in Applied Research in Design at Elisava.
