Trained as an Industrial Designer, he currently directs the Elisava Workshops and Laboratories and he is a Professor in Bachelor.
His research scope delves into the management of prototyping activity in higher design education. Connecting the fields of production systems, processes, materials, digital manufacturing, learning by doing, design, higher education, prototyping, management, prototyping technology and digital environments. In 2017 he joined the International Center for Studies and Research in Graphic Technology and Scientific Communication, (TGRAF) of ISEC Lisbon as a collaborating researcher.

His professional activity has developed as: Professor at Elisava since 1996, Academic Coordinator of the Degree in Design (2010-2013) and Coordinator of International Relations (2008-2010). He has been responsible for the department of product development, R&D in EMS, (Structures, Modules and Systems), (2001-2007), Technician in Product Development, Prototyping and Graphic Engineering IDD (Integral Design & Development), (1995-1998) and Freelance Industrial Designer since 1998.
