Miquel Santasusana, PhD
Professor of the Simultaneous Degree Program and the Degree in Industrial Design Engineering
Miquel is a Civil Engineer from the UPC. He worked as a project engineer and construction manager on construction projects. He specialized in the calculation of structures, completing a master’s degree in Computational Mechanics and Numerical Methods to later do a doctorate in the field of structural simulation and analysis. He completed his doctoral thesis at the CIMNE research centre with a stay at the Institut für Kontinuumsmechanik of the University of Hannover.
He has worked for 4 years as director of operations and project manager at Domestic Data streamers where he has participated in data communication projects collaborating with TED, CISCO, UNICEF, Beefeater, Western digital, etc.
Since 2017, he has been a professor at Elisava in the subjects of Mechanics and Mechanics of Materials in the Simultaneous Degree Program and in the Degree in Industrial Design Engineering. He is responsible for the subject of Materials Mechanics in the Degree in Industrial Design Engineering. He is currently studying a master’s degree in astrophysics and cosmology at the UAB.
