He is currently in the phase of conducting a doctoral thesis “Modelos Colaborativos Artesanía Diseño” at the University of Barcelona.
Born in the Basque Country, he lives and works in Barcelona since 1992. He is a multidisciplinary designer who combines an experimental design with product design, craftsmanship and space design.
His most experimental works have been shown in national and international exhibitions. His Casa Básica project is in the permanent collection of the MOMA in New York. It has pieces in the Museo de Artes Decorativas de Barcelona and at the Centro de Arte La Panera Lleida. He has collaborated with several projects and exhibitions with different institutions, among which Droog Design and the Vitra Design Museum stand out. He has designed award projects for sporting and cultural events such as the first water medals of the 2003 Barcelona World Swimming Championships,
As an industrial designer he has collaborated with well-known companies developing products, and his work has been recognized with important awards.

He has curated and designed different exhibitions: “Foodjects”, “A la mesa” and “Objeto” among others. Participating in the tours in more than 30 countries, holding conferences and openings.
He has also given lectures and workshops in different national and international universities.
He has done work as an international consultant in Latin America on issues of “Design and traditional industries” in development aid programs funded by the European Union (Program A1-Invest IV).
Since 2010 he is a member of the advisory board of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Universitat de Barcelona.
