Director General
Javier Peña is passionate about energy, frequency and vibration as an expression of the universe and the matter contained in it. University professor and scientific disseminator since 1998, he obtained his doctorate in Chemical Sciences in 2000.
Javier has been the General Director of Elisava since 2016, an institution where he was Head of Studies for the Degree in Industrial Design Engineering between 2010 and 2016, and co-director of the Master’s Degree in Graphic Production and Packaging between 2004 and 2008.
He focuses his research on new functional materials, their interaction with life, their relationship with the environment and their selection during the design process. Founder of Materfad in 2008 and its scientific director until 2018, he has curated various exhibitions and is the author and editor of various books and articles in the field of materials.
