Anna del Corral holds a PhD in Computer Science from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), Computer Engineering from UPC and Industrial Design Engineer from ELISAVA.
For more than thirteen years Anna has been a professor and researcher in the Computer Architecture Department of the UPC and has worked on innovative hardware solutions to access the memory of vector processors, research communicated in numerous international publications (search with AM del Corral).
As an industrial design engineer, she has worked for six years in the perfume multinational PUIG S.A. developing primary packaging for prestigious brands, celebrities and masstige.
Currently, Anna is coordinator of the Academic Area of Management of the Degree in Industrial Design Engineering (GEDI) of ELISAVA, and research leader of the Well-Being Research Area of ELISAVA Research. She also teaches several subjects at the school, such as Packaging, Technological Integration, Industrial Design Engineering Methodology, Programming and tutoring. Final degree projects.
Anna is a project leader in academic R&D projects with companies in several fields. In the field of futures and somaesthetics: Future Fragrance Dispenser (course 2017-18) and Future of Skincare 2030 (2018-19) with the company Quadpack. In the field of futures, the new way of mobility, user experience and interaction: Future Mobility and Autonomous Car, 2030 (2016-17), SEAT Car Sharing and interior design (2017-18) and SEAT Future Vision 2030 ( 2018-19) with the undertaken SEAT and Rücker Lypsa. In the field of health care and sensoriality: Sensory stimulation and containment system for premature babies with the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu (2015-16). This last project has been patented and is being developed in the Nursery of ELISAVA Alumni, by the Alumni Eva Diaz Mech.
