Jonathan Chacón has experience in both the educational and scientific fields. Graduated in Computer Engineering (2009), he has a PhD in Information Technologies, Communications and Audiovisual Media (2016) at the Pompeu Fabra University. He completed his PhD within the Interactive Technologies Group (GTI), where he discovered his passion for human-computer interaction (HCI) and user experience. The focus of his thesis was the study of different mechanisms to support educational platforms in the network, to facilitate the creation and sharing of educational content among teacher communities. His career has shaped a hybrid profile between technology, interaction and pedagogy.

He is currently responsible for the research area of ​​Human, coordinator of the area of ​​Interaction of the Degree in Engineering and Industrial Design and professor at Elisava School of Design and Engineering of Barcelona. In addition, he is also a collaborating professor at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya in the studies of Computer Science, Multimedia and Telecommunications.

Until now, he has participated in European research projects such as: TENCompetence or the Integrated Journalism in Europe, where he configured the project infrastructure to support the different educational pilots; national research projects such as Learn3, EEE or METIS, where he worked on the definition of work scenarios, configuration of the platform and development of new interactive tools for sharing and managing resources.
