Exhibition of the auxiliary furniture projects in collaboration with Kave Home

Second year students of the Degree in Design and Innovation (Product Mention) have exhibited a total of 20 furniture proposals. The students, in collaboration with Kave Home, have worked in groups to design several pieces of auxiliary furniture for the home that contemplate the experience of the ritual of casual dining, either prepared at home or takeaway. Therefore, they have designed a series of complements that take into account the ritual of eating outside the rigor of the table.

The work process is being developed with the support of four subjects: the Workshop subject, which provides them with the tools and craft knowledge necessary in the processes of serial production; Communication, focused on the technical communication of the project through plans, renderings or photography, or in the more commercial communication; Art and Contemporary Design, which frames the project within a context of contemporary design history; and the subject of Projects I, which accompanies the entire process from concept to prototype. The students’ furniture pieces have been on display at the temporary exhibition in the Atrium Space of Elisava.
