Under the title of ‘Experimenta’, a series of workshops have been organized in which the students of the Degrees in Design and Innovation and Industrial Design Engineering have been able to participate. A total of six activities with different themes and tutors have taken place between February 6 and 9.

The first workshop, “Bioceramics & Biocomposites”, directed by PhD Juan Crespo, was oriented to the world of ceramics and composite materials. In collaboration with the company Cerámicas Aguadé, students have created products working with different ceramic materials. “Designing with and for the Metaverse” has been the second workshop, led by Pau Benazet, which explored virtual reality as a tool for design. In addition, “Simulation as a design tool”, following the line of the previous one, explored simulation and 3D modeling together with prototyping.

In “Immersive graphics” students were able to approach the creation of abstract graphic compositions from typographies, illustrations and images. With Joanie Lemercier and Juliette Bibasse, in “Light, Medium, Message” this workshop explored the relationship between design and technology in search of environmentally friendly solutions. Finally, the students have designed the interior of the hall of the Poliorama Theater for the play ‘L’alegria que passa’, with the theater company Dagoll Dagom.
