Six Elisava projects among the winners of the NEXT GEN DESIGN 2026 “Futures Worth Living”

20 Apr 2026

Six projects developed by Elisava students have been recognized at the NEXT GEN DESIGN 2026 Awards, a European initiative that highlights emerging design proposals with social, environmental, and cultural impact.

This year’s edition, under the theme “Futures Worth Living,” brought together 190 proposals from 29 European countries. The submitted projects address contemporary challenges from diverse perspectives: from reclaiming data sovereignty to promoting models of co-creation and reparability, as well as exploring alternative food and health systems or approaches that expand the relationship between humans and their environment.

Following a rigorous selection process, the international jury has recognized 50 projects for their ability to offer innovative responses to today’s complexities. The selected proposals stand out for their people-centered approach, their inclusive nature, and their transformative potential, contributing to the vision of more sustainable, equitable, and meaningful futures.

Among these projects, six were developed by Elisava students, highlighting the emerging talent within the academic community and its commitment to design that goes beyond functionality to generate positive impact.
