‘(Re)thinking masculinity’, by student Miquel Pérez, wins the UPF Gender Research Award

The student Miquel Pérez of the Degree in Design at Elisava has won the Final Degree Project Award in Gender Research at the UPF for his project ‘(Re)thinking masculinity’, tutored by Raquel Llaberia.

The work is made up of four columns or pillars that represent different phases of masculinity. The interaction of each column with its environment parallels the way in which each of the masculinities expresses itself and interacts with the social environment at this stage.

The UPF Gender Research Final Degree Project Award was created with the aim of promoting the incorporation of the gender perspective in studies in order to advance gender equality. The topics addressed can deal with aspects such as inequality between women and men, gender identity, sexuality, gender roles, stereotypes, among others.
