Technical Engineering in Industrial Design at Elisava, Barcelona School of Design and Engineering (2003) and Materials Engineering at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2006).
In 2006, she joined the research group Biomateriales, Biomecánica e Ingeniería de Tejidos (BIBITE) of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), where she developed her PhD thesis in alloys with shape memory for biomedical applications. She obtained her PhD in Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering in 2011. She has published the results of her research in several indexed international journals and has participated in numerous national and international conferences. Marta has been a professor at Elisava since 2006 and responsible for the area of Materials of the Degree in Industrial Design Engineering since 2010. In 2015, she joined the Research Group Elisava Research as responsible for the research area Smart & Advanced Materials. Since 2015, she has worked as a consultant in Materfad, the Center for Materials for the Promotion of Arts and Design (FAD) in Barcelona.
In 2016, she received a positive accreditation decision by the National Quality Assessment and Accreditation Agency of Spain (ANECA) as Assistant Professor of PhD.
