Dra. Isabel Ordóñez
Assistant Professor, Bachelor in Industrial Design Engineering
Industrial designer by the University of Chile, she specialized with a Master’s and PhD in Sustainable Design at Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden. As a designer, she has primarily worked with furniture, while her teaching and research have involved various projects related to sustainability, focusing mainly on circular economy and waste valorisation.
Currently, she is a researcher and professor at Elisava, where her main motivation is to facilitate the use of waste materials for the development of new materials and products, seeking to create high-quality designs from available waste. She is responsible of Elisava’s sustainability area, providing training and teaching support on sustainability issues to the faculty, and is responsible for the operation of the Elisava Material Depot.
