Civic Placemaking 2: disseny, espai públic i cohesió social. Raval, Barcelona
Download
The research project Civic Placemaking: Disseny, Espai Públic i Cohesió Social (CP) seeks to promote social cohesion and intercultural integration in an organic and effective way through ephemeral architecture projects that have an impact on public space, foster a proactive citizenship in making decisions about their environment, and stimulate a sense of belonging and active citizenship. CP2 deepens the research started in CP1 (Marianao, Sant Boi de Llobregat) using the Raval de Barcelona as its area of work. If CP1 explored the capabilities of ephemeral architecture to transform the perception of public space by the community that inhabits it, CP2 focuses on exploring the capabilities of ephemeral architecture to promote interaction between citizens while introducing new uses in public space.
