‘FashionKIC’ (Knowledge Innovation Community for Sustainable Fashion) is a new European cooperation project co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union.

It brings together seven highly complementary partners from five European countries, forming a transnational alliance that combines expertise in sustainable fashion, digital innovation, design education, regional development, communication, and start-up acceleration. The project aims to shape a united and innovative European fashion ecosystem that leads the transition towards sustainability, circularity, and digital excellence.

The project’s mission is to empower fashion SMEs and creatives with the knowledge, tools, and networks needed to adopt sustainable, circular, and digital practices, while connecting regional fashion ecosystems into a collaborative Knowledge & Innovation Community that turns European policies into real-world impact.

Guided by the core values of sustainability with purpose, innovation, collaboration, and inclusivity, FashionKIC promotes circular and responsible practices for long-term impact, practical digital solutions for transformation, equal access to knowledge and opportunities, and cross-border cooperation across Europe’s fashion ecosystems.

The FashionKIC consortium includes: Envolve Entrepreneurship (Lead Partner, Greece), INFOLYSIS (Greece), Regional Development Fund of Central Macedonia (Greece), Reginnova NE (Romania), MODALISBOA (Portugal), ELISAVA (Spain) and Global Fashion Agenda (Denmark).

Over its lifetime, FashionKIC will activate regional innovation nodes in Greece, Portugal, Spain, and Romania, delivering training, pilot actions, digital tools, and entrepreneurship support. The project contributes directly to the European Green Deal, the EU Strategy for Sustainable and Circular Textiles, and the twin green and digital transition of the cultural and creative sectors.
