Project

Generalitat de Catalunya through the Regional Networks for Technological Specialization (RETECH)

Both the habitat and fashion sectors share a range of creative and production challenges where generative artificial intelligence can offer transformative solutions. Both industries are at a turning point, where technology no longer merely improves efficiency but redefines creative and design processes, enabling new ways of imagining, producing, and communicating.

The CreativIA project aims to bring the potential of generative AI to the creative industries, particularly habitat and fashion sectors, through knowledge transfer, community building, and hands-on experimentation with emerging technologies. Through scouting initiatives, training sessions, workshops, and collaborative activities, the project seeks to democratize access to AI and foster co-creation between design professionals and artificial intelligence experts. In this way, the project will help strengthen Catalonia’s productive fabric, driving digitalization and positioning the region’s creative design industry as a pioneer in the fusion of creativity and artificial intelligence.
Results transferable to businesses

The CreativIA project will generate a set of outcomes aimed at driving creative digitalization and the effective adoption of generative artificial intelligence in companies within the home and fashion sectors. Specifically:

  • Applied and accessible knowledge on generative AI: a repository of technologies, providers, training resources, and use cases will be created to facilitate a practical understanding of the most relevant tools on the market and their applicability in creative work environments.
  • Training and awareness-raising on new generative workflows: through short training sessions, workshops, and live demonstrations, professionals in design, interior architecture, and fashion will be able to directly experience the possibilities offered by AI in the ideation, visualization, and customization of products and spaces.
  • Creation of a cross-sector innovation community: the project will establish a stable collaborative network among companies, clusters, training centers, and technology hubs, fostering the co-creation of projects and the exchange of experiences between creative and technical professionals.
  • Promoting and sharing success stories: the project’s reports, conferences, and open sessions will serve to disseminate examples of generative AI implementation in the home and fashion sectors, inspiring new companies to join this transformation process.
Funding

CreativIA has the support of Generalitat de Catalunya through the Regional Networks for Technological Specialization (RETECH) program under the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan (PRTR), funded by the Next Generation EU Fund, specifically regarding Line 3.
