Project

Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Doctoral Networks

CoDesign4Transitions is a four-year doctoral network (2024-28) that brings together eight universities in seven countries (Belgium, Denmark, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Spain, UK) who will recruit and supervise 13 transdisciplinary Doctoral Candidates (DCs). 10 fellowships are funded by the Doctoral Networks scheme within the Marie Skolodwska-Curie Actions (MCSA) of the European Commission.

The project also includes 15 partners from business, government, and civil society organizations, as well as a U.S. university. The countries are conducting original research related to three research objectives at the intersection of co-design:

  • Design for sustainability
  • Service and system design
  • Democratic innovation and climate transitions

Elisava Research co-supervises the doctoral theses UVic-UCC in co-supervision with RMIT University (Melbourne, Australia) in the following positions:

  • DC3 – Investigating and amplifying practices for circular design
  • DC4 – Prototyping policy options in spaces for experimentation and learning for urban climate transitions
