This new issue of Temes de Disseny - Design Futures Now: Literacies and Making - presents the challenge of framing design’s role in futures making through a series of contemporary scientific works. Design Futures is a discipline with its own literacies and making methodologies, and aims to address the world’s complexity and phenomena by delivering options and opportunities for alternative presents.
The Temes de Disseny editorial team’s objective is to bring together knowledge generated by experts from multiple disciplines who study design from distinct points of view with originality and scientific rigor. It publishes peer-reviewed articles, welcoming local and international researchers’ proposals, and focuses on both theory and practice. The journal is open to contributions in different formats, such as original research papers, case study papers, State of the Art papers, pictorials and others yet to come. Each journal edition, published annually, aims to approach specific topics related to design.
