We live in a society of over-consumption, of single-use products, of using, throwing away and buying. This fact, driven by industrialisation and globalisation, has led to an ecological crisis with a considerable impact on the limits of our planet.
Volk is a project developed within the context of Cocina Hermanos Torres, to redesign a manual drip coffee maker based on five key aspects: the method of coffee production, the value of the ritual associated with the coffee preparation, the process sustainability, the coffee brewing “expressly” for the diner and the materiality of the objects involved in the process.

Developing a project in a sustainable way means thinking about alternative methods of production and consumption, that is, clean production, sustainable and durable materials and circular models of consumption and production, with a positive impact on the environment.
