Tributos en llamas
‘Tributos en llamas’ is an editorial and artistic project that revives the gesture of remembering the deceased as a symbolic and material act, inspired by the Chinese ritual of burning paper as an offering. In contrast to consumerism that turns rituals into empty products, such as funeral offerings or thoughtlessly purchased books, it proposes a piece that is read, assembled, and burned.
Accompanied by a photographic series, the project imagines a world made of paper, where books and objects are replicas ready to burn. It was created in collaboration with Finestres, defending the idea that memory is also constructed with the hands.
