Thee Genesis Ov Genesis
The project uses the life, art, and attitude of Genesis Breyer P-Orridge to start a contemporary conversation about topics like art, music, activism, queerness, sex, and spirituality. Looking at the importance of breaking taboos, pushing boundaries, and unapologetic self-expression. It opens up the narrative to different perspectives from all around the world, incorporating personal experiences, beliefs, and stories from all types of creative troublemakers.
The concept of this “book” follows in Genesis Breyer P-Orridge’s footsteps. The exterior of the “book” needing to be destroyed to get to the inside, playing with the idea of a collector’s item and demolishing its value instantly. And by dividing the story into seven separate parts, aiming to create a non-linear way of telling he/r story. There is no actual hierarchy, no beginning and no end. This project is filled with the intentional breaking of rules and the creation of organized chaos.
This “book” is a deconstruction of what a book can be, a reimagination of how we tell a story, and a reminder to express yourself unapologetically.
