This project starts with a question: what stories do we explain about the invisible and how these stories reflect our media, our languages, and our power structures. In the process of collecting images of what is hidden within our society, it is obvious that nothing of what we are collecting is truly invisible. Each image, object, or narrative is a representation, a modification, a classification, or an interpretation created by humans to make the invisible visible and the intangible understandable.

From there, the research of what is hidden turns into an investigation about the human relationship between what we cannot see or do not know. This change opens up another question: what have humans done to dominate what dominated us before? Whether it is through naming it and categorizing the natural world, constructing myths to explain what is unexplainable, or configurating perceptions that marginalize the otherness, systems that make the invisible understandable were created, but not without consecuences.

This project explores the ever-lasting tension between the visible and the invisible, a tension that determines both the way we perceive the world and the way we inhabit it.
