Ghana is home to Kente cloth, one of the most sophisticated cultural and artistic expressions of African indigenous creativity. These textiles are a non-verbal communication tool through which emotions, memories, values and personal identity are conveyed. However, it is in decline, as many of today’s fabrics do not reflect the fine craftsmanship of the past.

Tales speaks of harmony and the passage of time under the pretext of a slow lifestyle, in search of new rituals to reconnect and give character to the inner self. The project proposes a personalisation service of a decorative tapestry, conceived as a ritual of introspection and self-awareness. The service translates emotions, stories and individual values into codified and tangible symbolism. By preserving the figure of the Ghanaian weaver, the tradition and culture of Kente cloth is revalued, and new ways of integration into the global economy are proposed, promoting a positive social impact.
