REEFLEX
‘REEFLEX’ is an artificial reef designed to biomimic the rocky and coral reefs, with the aim of accommodating life and protecting the Catalan coasts. It proposes the exploration of a new material made of CaCO3-rich waste from the food sector; assisting its bioreceptivity and adaptability to the environment.
The structure design can dissipate the wave’s energy and contemplates an efficient implementation from the limitations of the environment. In this sense, it presents a solution that gets us closer to seabed regeneration.
