Passer-by
‘Passer-by’ is a contemporary magazine that discusses culture, art, and politics, through the relationship of movements in space. Each issue departs from a specific body movement to various perspectives in the current social environment. The first three issues of the magazine—“Stretch”, “Blink”, and “Tongue Rolling”—illustrate this unique approach.
With stretch we expand its definition, becoming a metaphor for how the world is embracing stretch in its various forms, unlocking not only the potential of our bodies but also the power of the future. Blink has the eyes as the center and we take its gaze as a form of communication, with ways of seeing, and the ability to look at different points of view, the movement is ephemeral but impactful. And the last issue Tongue Rolling goes beyond its specific meaning and spreads to the relationship with our mouth and voice. Tongue rolling unravels the potential of communication to break off reductive statements in society structures. It questions the use of language and information to empower or limit ourselves. ‘Passer-by’ is distributed for free.
