Otto vs Karl
Otto vs Karl is a project for the design of an audiovisual set for a film based on the theatrical text of Hamlet by William Shakespeare. The spatial proposal is contextualized in the historical universe of the interwar period (1918-1939) in German territory.
Based on a narrative analysis of the text and historical research, a story and characters that will determine the audiovisual space have been developed. The main story is based on the contrast between two brothers/characters, visibly antagonistic. From two aesthetic lines, in the same architectural space, we intend to represent lifestyles and social values through materials, furniture and other elements that help to define each character and build identity.
