Joiana
‘JOIANA, from stem to petal’ is an intergenerational hair jewellery project. It is a project in collaboration with TOUS that aims to materialise, through jewellery, the connection through time between grandmothers and granddaughters, and the transfer of knowledge between generations of women.
The JOIANA collection is made up of seven pieces of jewellery designed for the hair or as amulets based on the symbol of a flower. This flower, in its changing states of life, has represented ephemerality and change, the transformation between generations. A flower blooms, blossoms and fades, leaving a seed from which another flower is born. Joy allows this transfer and accumulation to be inherited, to be passed on materially and to survive in time.
