‘Dear Tears: Crying as an act of resistance’ is a project that aims to connect two socially underrated elements, the act of crying and the artistic technique of embroidery, and to use design as a tool for the materialization of a complex concept while giving value to an almost lost craft.

Crying is a uniquely human behaviour that has always been considered a mysterious but also shameful conduct. On the other hand, embroidery is considered an inferior artistic technique that should be out of the public realm. In Dear Tears, design and science are combined to create a graphic piece that leads to reflection and that is able to stimulate emotion.
