‘Biocharged’ is an ongoing Material Research Project with a focus on Biochar as a regenerative and bioremediating material.
It addresses the carbon-nutrient cycle by turning organic waste into biochar and charging it with abundant urine residues as a nutrient-rich charge to enhance soil quality and plant resilience. At the same time, it is a material that fosters active crafting and regenerative making.
