Athos is a climbing shoe created through additive manufacturing. This technology and the parametric design allow to personalize, customize and optimize this type of footwear to the taste and needs of each user. During production, both of the user’s feet are scanned. From the scan, an STL model of the foot is obtained and the user starts the customization of the footwear through automated parametric design, which includes a wide range of possibilities: from the selection of pattern and thickness, to the inclination of the sole. Finally, the product is printed with HP’s Multi Jet Fusion on TPU.
