For the second year running, 4th year students of the Degree in Industrial Design Engineering and the Degree in Design have joined forces to form the new multidisciplinary Elisava Racing Team.

The team is able to cope with the circumstances we are experiencing and follows the development of the project telematically thanks to the use of online management tools and the great help of tutors and collaborators. Therefore, it continues to pursue this year's objective of creating a 100% off-road electric motorcycle and implement it together with a firm business plan to complete the project's production cycle.

Keeping in mind the incorporation of innovative Internet Of Things (IoT) technologies, additive manufacturing technology and sustainable production processes, the team will design, develop and produce a motorcycle for a specific sector, mountain rescue. This year's value proposition is based on a fleet of vehicles ready and equipped to assist any emergency in a hostile environment such as the mountains.

Barcelona Smart Moto Challenge 2020

Elisava Racing Team is formed with the motivation to demonstrate the talent of the team members through participation in the Barcelona Smart Moto Challenge 2020, an international competition in which some of the best teams of engineering students from around the world will dispute with the aim of developing the best electric motorcycle on the market. The BSMC 2020 will be held in early August and not only gives the team the opportunity to demonstrate their engineering and design expertise, but it enables them to share their vision for the future of mobility.

Taking as reference the leading companies in the market and counting on the support of the experience of their engineers and designers, the final goal is the development of a commercial product generated from the combination of the Final Degree Projects of each team member.
