Several Elisava projects have been selected for the ADI Awards 2022

The ADI 2022 Awards, organised by the ADI-FAD Industrial Design Association, have announced the chosen projects for their next edition. A group of national and international professional experts from different fields of industrial design, communication, teaching and design theory have evaluated the 360 proposals submitted. This year, the jury was formed by Angela Rui, Amalia Puga, Anniina Koivu, Daniel Cid, Mario Ruiz Albert Fuster, Diego Ramos, Octavi Rofes, Raquel Quevedo and Stella Rahola.


ADI Medals


In the ADI Medals category, out of 68 projects entered, 12 have been selected, half of which are the work of Elisava students: 5 Final Degree Projects (TFG) and 1 Final Master's Project (TFM).

These are the selected projects:

  • ATHOS, by Emili Taixés, Romina Milesi, Carla Barrientos, Mar Amengual, Pau Gual (TFM Master in Product Design)
  • Balisa, by Ariadna Sala (TFG Degree in Design)
  • OLGA, Emotional shelter for the common spaces of the home, by Ariadna Tunnah (TFG Degree in Design)
  • Photodermis, by Gemma Morell (TFG Degree in Industrial Design Engineering)
  • Primitive, by Alex Linares (TFG Degree in Design)
  • SENSE, by Anna Ballesté (TFG Degree in Design)

ADI Culture Awards


On the other hand, Elisava Research's European project Material Designers has been one of the 12 projects selected in the ADI Culture 2022 Awards, the most prestigious and long-standing recognition in our country in the discipline of industrial design and design culture. MaDe (Materials Designers) is a project co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union, which aims to promote talent towards circular economies throughout Europe thanks to the partnership between cultural and design institutions. Another of the 12 projects selected for the ADI Culture 2022 Awards is 'Disseny per a la Inclusió. El procés com a resultat'. Curated by Anaïs Esmerado and promoted by the Ojalá Projects Association and the Barcelona Design Museum, also participating are Elisava and the design schools BAY, LCI, ESDAP, IDEM and UOC; as well as the social entities Intress, Teb BCN, ASIB, Ictus and Metzineres.

In this same category there is also the exhibition 'Our Garden Needs Its Flowers. Flows and artistic narratives in the Cultural District of L'Hospitalet', curated by DOES, a studio of Elisava alumni and professor Saúl Baeza, and which has counted with the collaboration of the City Council of L'Hospitalet (Tecla Sala Art Center and Cultural District L'H).


Delta Awards


As for the Delta Awards for industrial design professionals and companies, there are also several Elisava alumni and professors selected, including the studio Goula/Figuera, Diego Quiroga from Anima Design, Lagranja Design, Addition, Emiliana Design, Gerard Arqué, Benedito Design, Josep Puig Cabeza, Jordi Veciana and Sandra H. Yborra with the table 'FlipN'Clack', one of the three projects participating in the last edition of the Elisava Alumni Crowdfunding Challenge.

The winners of the ADI Awards will be announced on 15 June during Barcelona Design Week. Congratulations to the authors of the selected proposals and good luck!
