The scriptwriter and writer Salva Rubio, professor of the Master’s Degree in Illustration and Comics of Elisava, and director of the summer course Storytelling, Project Philosophy and Personal Branding, has been officially ratified as a member of the Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences of Spain (Spanish: Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematográficas de España).
The objectives of his new role, as highlighted by the own Salva Rubio, which qualifies the appointment of "true honor", are to "promote the progress of the arts and related sciences (...) with cinematography."
Salva Rubio is the author of the script of numerous comics and graphic novels, such as El fotógrafo de Mauthausen, which has already published its third edition; or Monet, Nómada de la luz, recently translated into Chinese.
He has also written the screenplay for several shorts like Andersen and the Jinn, currently touring international festivals, where he has received awards, among others, such as the 'Silver Award' at the Los Angeles Independent Shorts Awards and the 'Best web' series / TV Pilot 'of the Film Festival LA Shorts Awards.
Likewise, the author has just signed a contract for the writing of a new feature film whose details are still unknown.
