Elisava's Retail Lab designs the shop window of the MUJI's flagship store in Barcelona

Elisava and MUJI join forces to commemorate the first anniversary of the Japanese retailer's flagship store, located on Passeig de Gràcia, Barcelona. The project has been developed by six students from Elisava's Retail Lab, composed of students from the Master in Retail Space: Retail Design.

"Esencia a través de la ausencia" (Essence through absence) intends to make all those who come across the shop window reflect on the abundances of modern life. To capture the concept, the sideboard displays a large curtain made of Japanese translucent fabrics that cover it. On the curtain, different words can be seen with the names of MUJI's most emblematic and representative products, with a small description of everyday moments in which these objects take on real prominence.

The collaboration between Elisava and MUJI highlights the need to exchange new concepts, proposals and innovative ideas created by young and emerging talent, thus connecting the professional with the academic world.
