The students of the Postgraduate Diploma in Design, Art and Society have participated from 14 to 18 July in the SNTK Besòs LAB project in a workshop for designing and building a mobile device in the area of Can Peixauet, in Santa Coloma de Gramenet.
The action in which the students of the School have participated was a workshop for designing and building a prototype of a mobile device related with one of the entities of Santa Coloma de Gramenet, the Colla Vella de Diables. The project has been carried out with MAKEA, a collective that promotes creative recycling and that works for the awareness on the problem of waste in our society, and members of the Colla Vella de Diables of Santa Coloma de Gramenet have collaborated.
The device can be visited during the Festa Major of Santa Coloma, the 4 and 11 September from 7pm to 9pm in the dome of Can Peixauet.
SNTK Besòs Lab is an intervention and social interaction project that intends to strengthen the relation between Santa Coloma de Gramenet and the Besós river in the area of Can Peixauet. A set of devices are developed to generate actions on the public space. The activities are developed with the aim to interconnect the river, the neighbourhoods and the public space, linking culture, sport and environment. It is a proposal by Idensitat in collaboration with different departments of Santa Coloma de Gramenet City Council.
