ELISAVA students participate in the Barcelona Smart Moto Challenge

A group of Engineering and Design students of ELISAVA and ETSEIB co-participated in the Barcelona Smart Moto Challenge, from the 3 to the 6 July, with the «Bruc Electric Motorbike» project.

A total of eleven teams from universities of Barcelona, Madrid, Girona, Cuenca (Ecuador), Breslau (Poland) and Moscow (Russia), participated in this competition and presented prototypes that had to pass different static and dynamic tests.

The team of future designers and engineers of the School, Ampeer Team, obtained the second position in the static tests, which included the design evaluation, the incorporation of smart components in the motorcycle or the assembly, among others. They also obtained the second place in the ranking for the presentation of the Business Plan.

All the members of the team are very satisfied and proud, both of the work carried out in the last nine months and the results in the competition. However, the task of the ELISAVA and ETSEIB students has not been finished. Next October the Ampeer Team will travel to Moscow for participating at the Smart Moto Challenge in Russia and will improve some of the aspects that were not able to carry out on this occasion.
