Elisava, the Barcelona design studio Folch Studio and the multinational Vice have announced a strategic alliance to develop a new training model at Acid House Barcelona, a creative hub and incubator for creative business projects. The new space, located in the 22@ district of Poblenou, will be inaugurated in the fall of 2019 and will offer an offer of master's degrees and other programs that will begin to be announced this spring.
The third to join this strategic alliance has been Vice, which will be responsible for communication and sponsorship services and will collaborate in some of the courses and the main educational activities. As a multinational dedicated to offering advertising agency services and audiovisual production with its own media, Vice will be a key strategic partner in the development of Acid House Barcelona.
New educational format
The hybrid programming created by Elisava and Folch for the new center aims to become pioneer in its field, merging the incubation of ideas and projects with an academic side and the dissemination of content in digital media according to the new communicative and educational paradigm. Open to transversal profiles, the new model aims to unite education and entertainment in a radically innovative program endorsed by Elisava.
Set, showroom and exhibition gallery
Acid House Barcelona, created by Folch and designed by Arquitectura-G (Mies Van Der Rohe Award, 2015), will have almost 500 m2 that will be divided into 4 areas: a space-set oriented to education, a conference area, a showroom for brands, and a gallery for street-level exhibitions, as well as a cafeteria. Likewise, the new space will host companies from the creative world such as Odiseo, Eldorado and White Horse, among others.
