The Elisava Equality Commission has organized a public and collective event to present itself officially in society and to denounce male violence. With this objective, the commission has called on the students of the School and all those interested to participate in the choreography of 'Un violador en tu camino', which has taken place in the lower part of La Rambla, in front of Elisava, before the eyes of dozens of curious people.
The action, in which almost a hundred people participated, reproduces the participatory protest performance 'Un violador en tu camino', created in 2019 by the Chilean feminist collective Lastesis, with the aim of demonstrating against violations of women's rights.
Equality policies and awareness-raising actions
The Elisava Equality Commission, created by the School in 2019, has among its functions the development of programs to promote gender equality policies in Elisava, the attention to consultations and complaints related to male violence and LGTBPhobia within the framework of the university community, the provision of accompaniment services and the organization of awareness activities such as this action in La Rambla.
