Elisava engineers design an autonomous electric car at Trondheim University

Sergio García Boguña, from the Degree in Industrial Design Engineering, and Tania Bonilla Sánchez, from the Simultaneous Studies Programme, have worked from NTNU Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim in a project of the DNVGL-Fuel Fighter team.

The initiative consists on the design and production of an autonomous car, which is also energetically efficient for a sustainable future: electric, ergonomic, light and aerodynamic.

The aim of the team, which is formed by up to 40 students from different disciplines and countries, is to participate in the 2019 Shell Eco-marathon in London. It will take place from July 1st to July 5th. In order to do so, all students who have taken part in both the design and executive part of the project, will travel to the British capital, where Tania will be the pilot of the vehicle.
