Elisava and Nespresso team up to design a new life for recycled aluminium capsules

A team made up of 11 students from the Master in Product Design, the Degree in Design and the Degree in Industrial Design Engineering at Elisava teams up with Nespresso to develop a product for everyday use from the recycled aluminium of coffee capsules. Due to its characteristics, aluminium is an infinitely recyclable material, so its value and versatility make it possible to recycle and generate new life for this material.

Elisava and Nespresso share a common goal, which is the desire to promote sustainability and recycling programmes. Javier Peña, General Director of the school, points out: “This agreement represents a great opportunity for the students to work on a challenge launched by a reference company, developing an innovative project where creativity, design and sustainability are the protagonists.”
