Elisava and Lightbox Academy launch a Digital Arts training project


With this alliance, Elisava expands its training offer in cooperation with the 3D animation, modeling and motion graphics Spanish beacon

Lightbox Academy is a School of Digital Arts born from the animation production company Lightbox Animation Studios, creator of Tad, the Lost Explorer and Capture the flag. It has helped to position Spain as a European benchmark in animation and has received eight Goya, four CEC, 3 Forqué, two Gaudí and two Platino Awards

Elisava, Barcelona School of Design and Engineering, presents, together with Lightbox Academy, a new offer of specialization programs in Digital Arts. From October, Elisava will offer three courses at its Barcelona facilities for those students interested in deepening on 3D animation, modeling and motion graphics productions.

All programs will be tailored-made, forming small groups of up to 15 students and with a clear practical side, with the aim of preparing students for the real needs of the current professional environment and future in 3D animation for film, series, videogames, advertising, etc.

With this alliance, Elisava adds to its formative offer in design and engineering the digital arts, such as animation, modeling and motion graphics. According to the Libro Blanco de la Industria Española de la Animación y de los Efectos Visuales 2018, a report published by the Animation Federation Diboos, Spain is the fifth largest producer of animated feature films and the second largest in Europe. 15.23 % of the tickets in Spanish cinemas correspond to animated films, and this industry billed 654 million euro in 2017.

A new training offer that responds to the high demand in the country: Barcelona is becoming a hub where digital tools, a 4.0 industry and creativity are positioned very clearly.
