Through the Master in Product Design and Development, ELISAVA has been cooperating with CIM UPC. An example of this collaboration is the exhibition session of Sigma 3D Printers that CIM UPC and BCN3D organized at the School last Thursday 10 of May. At the end of the session, the CEO of BCN3D, Xavier M. Faneca, offered a conference on the origins of 3D Open Source printing (RepRap global project) and the evolution of RepRap BCN from its origins up until now.

Within the frame of this conference, CIM UPC organized a draw for a BCN3D Sigma printer among the audience. The winner, Ferran Algueró, is a second-year student of the Degree in Engineering in Industrial Design. Felip Fenollosa, Director of CIM UPC, was in charge of delivering the prize last Tuesday 12 of June.

Reinforcing the collaboration with ELISAVA, CIM UPC has donated a BCN3D printer to the ELISAVA's prototype workshop, which is already available for all the students.
