More information

We live in a world that continually poses challenges for us. Social, environmental, economic, cultural challenges… And we need to generate smart solutions that pose new futures. Graphic design is a discipline that is constantly changing and evolving, with the potential to affect all media: digital, print and environmental.

We need versatile graphic designers, critical of society. Let them wonder about their social responsibility as contemporary professionals. With the energy to tackle the challenges posed by ever-evolving new media. Graphic designers capable of developing disruptive concepts of visual communication and that look for answers to the problems of tomorrow.

Elisava's Visual Design Master is an advanced one-year program focused on the contemporary practice of graphic design. A course to find your own distinctive traits as a professional and to explore new visual languages.

This approach is carried out through the realization of a comprehensive project in which we put into practice all the traditional areas of graphic design: visual, editorial, digital, packaging, environmental graphics and audio-visual identity; as well as other essential disciplines: strategy, research, verbal identity, process design and facilitation, management, experimentation...

We want to work with restless, nonconformist students, determined to use design to influence society. That ask themselves questions, that question the role of graphic design and that are aware that this discipline can change social, environmental, economic and cultural contexts.

An expanded vision of design. The program's holistic approach contains all the requirements of current graphic design practice. A global training to develop your career in a wide range of formats, themes, platforms and scales.

Our process is collaborative. We have a great team of professors, active professionals, experts and guests, passionate about what they do and who enjoy sharing and generating synergies week after week. In addition, the experience is completed with other events, such as conferences, showcases and case studies, which allow you to connect with different fields of design.

Personal development and professional accompaniment. Who are you? What interests do you have? What do you want to do? To find your own voice, we will explore and search for new languages, formats and ways of working. We will learn to read and understand the professional reality.

We will continue to delve into typography, the backbone of graphic design, a powerful functional tool with a lot of expressive potential. We will continue learning typography from different perspectives, from the most traditional to that offered by new technologies.

The methodology of this program is designed to train versatile creative directors, capable of leading global projects in any area of graphic design.

For this reason, this course is developed around the Master Project in which all the traditional areas of graphic design are considered together with new study disciplines, achieving a comprehensive and complete vision.

In short, the Visual Design Master brings together a practical perspective, professional and personal support, and a format closely connected to the professional world, with experts who will give us the keys to influence society with our work.

You, as a designer, what do you want to contribute to society? In today's complex and changing context, there are endless paths to explore. It's up to you.
