IMC Toys and Rolser buy and develop projects by students of the Master in Product Design

The companies IMC Toys and ROLSER, following their collaboration with the Master’s Degree in Product Design and Development throughout the 2020-21 academic year, have decided to purchase 5 final projects that the students have been designing and developing collaboratively with tutors from Elisava and with tutors from the company itself.

The fact that these companies have decided to buy these 5 projects presented within the scope of the Master’s Degree in Product Design demonstrates the consolidation of the PBL (Project Based Learning) methodology of collaborative projects with companies in the industrial design sector, which the directors Josep Puig (Designer) and Xavi Riudor (Industrial Engineer) have been implementing and optimising over the 17 years that these higher education courses have been taught. Over these years, the Master’s Degree in Product Design has been taught continuously, with more than 500 students who have taken these highly professionalising courses.

Specifically, the company ROLSER has decided to acquire the THINK and DOMO projects, which the students presented as final projects for the Postgraduate Degree in Product Concept.

Likewise, the company IMC Toys, which this year continues to collaborate for the 3rd consecutive year with the Postgraduate in Product Development, has decided to acquire 3 projects with various innovative game dynamics: SPIN BASQUET, WILD FORCE and BLOOPIES SUNNIES.

Along the same lines, the company PlátanoMelón has also decided to purchase an innovative project, which arose from an optional workshop proposed in the Postgraduate in Product Development.

Finally, in the 2019-2020 academic year, the companies BioSystems, Adam Foods Artiach and IMC Toys, decided to buy the best project of those presented by the 26 students of this edition of the Master’s Degree in Product.

We congratulate all the students who have participated in these 9 selected projects, as they have been able to understand the essence of the briefing proposed by the companies, have been able to propose disruptive and innovative projects, and have seduced the collaborating companies, so that they decided to buy the project presented by the group of students. Congratulations!

Josep Puig and Xavi Riudor
Directors of the Master’s Degree in Product Design and Development.
