Below you will find information regarding the pre-registration and admission process for the master’s and postgraduate degrees.

Application
1 Entry requirements  

Elisava’s Masters and Postgraduate programmes are awarded by the University of Vic – Central University of Catalunya.

  • Accessing with a previous University Degree: To access our Masters and Postgraduate programmes, applicants are required to have an official undergraduate degree or equivalent.
  • Accessing without a University Degree: Applicants without a University Degree title are eligible to access our programmes through proven professional experience or by proving significant knowledge in the relevant studies area. These applicants will receive a University Specialist Certificate.
2 Deadlines for applications

Programmes starting September 2024

  • Students requiring a student visa: until 12 May 2024. DEADLINE EXTENDED UNTIL 29 MAY
  • Students who do not need a student visa: until 8 September 2024.
3 Documents required

 

Applicants will be required to upload specific documents to support the application. All documents must be in the same language of the program and uploaded in PDF format:

  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Motivation letter
  • Portfolio or a link to a digital portfolio / personal web
  • Passport (NON-UE) / ID (EU)

 

Complete the application form with all your personal data and documents listed above.

After submitting the application and support documents, our system will send an automatic reply to confirm it was received. A username and a password will be generated to track the application via the Admissions Website.

Elisava Admissions office will request the payment of a 500€ application fee after reviewing the application.

Admission
1 Selection process

Remember applicants will not enter the Admission Process until the application fee payment is confirmed. 

Applications are considered within 20 days*. 

  • In the event that your pre-registration is not accepted, our team will contact you to consider other options.
  • In the event that the documentation provided is insufficient to make a decision, our team will contact you to request more documentation or a more extensive portfolio. 
  • If your pre-registration is accepted, you will receive an admission offer. 

 

To confirm your admission, you must proceed with the first payment.  

After payment, you will receive the Admission Letter** confirming your place in the programme.   

Track the progress of your submitted application via the Admissions Website.  

*This period could be longer if the selection criteria of the Programme Management take into account the group of applications submitted and not individually.

2 Payments

All payments must be done through the Admissions Website.

Payment options:

  • The tuition fee for master’s programmes will be divided in three installments if the admission occurs before July 15th (September intake) or December 15th (March intake).
  • For postgraduate’s programmes the tuition fee will be divided in two installments if the admission occurs before July 15th (September intake) or December 15th (March intake). Payment deadlines and amounts are indicated in the formal Offer of Admission.

Financing:

  • If you want to finance the enrollment of your master’s degree, you can do so through the preferential conditions of the Caixa d’Enginyers (only in the case of residents in Spain): payment in 10 monthly installments with an opening commission of €50. For more information, you can go to any Caixa d’Enginyers office or call +34 902 200 888 or +34 93 268 13 31.
  • There are also agreements with other banks to finance your master’s tuition that you can consult directly with Banco Santander Central Hispano (BSCH), Banc Sabadell, BBVA or CaixaBank.
Enrolment
1 General information

The enrolment process will be conducted in person at Elisava before the beginning of the programme. One month before the start of the Master or Postgraduate programme you will receive an email with instructions on how to request the appointment.

All applicants must present the required documentation.

2 Students with Spanish university diploma

Identity accreditation

  • DNI (students with Spanish nationality)
  • ID card or passport (students with the following nationalities): Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, The Netherlands, Romania, Switzerland and Sweden.
  • Passport (other countries)

 

Academic documents

A. Students with university diploma: Grado universitario, Licenciatura, Arquitectura, Ingeniería, Diplomatura, Arquitectura Técnica, Ingeniería Técnica.

  • Original diploma or certified copy by a public notary or the university where the diploma was issued. In case that the diploma is in process, the “resguardo del título” or the degree replacement certificate are accepted.

 

B. Students with any of the following diplomas: Título Superior de Diseño with 240 ECTS from schools dependent of the regional autonomous governments: Graduado Superior de Diseño from a centre affiliated to a university, Ciclo formativo de Grado Superior equivalent to a grado o diplomatura universitaria.

  • Original diploma or certified copy by a public notary or the school where the diploma was issued. In case that the diploma is in process, the “resguardo del título” is accepted.
  • Original official Academic Transcript of Records or certified copy by a public notary or the school where the transcript was issued.

 

*Remark: Only documents written in Spanish or Catalan are accepted. In case of documents written in other autonomous languages (Galician or Basque), only bilingual documents including Spanish language are accepted.

3 Students with university diploma of a state member of the European Economic Area and Switzerland 

Included countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, The Netherlands, Romania, Switzerland and Sweden.

Identity accreditation

  • DNI (students with Spanish nationality)
  • ID card or passport (students with the following nationalities): Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, The Netherlands, Romania, Switzerland and Sweden.
  • Passport (other countries)

 

Academic documents

  • Only Bachelor university diplomas of minimum 180 ECTS are accepted (Licence in France, Laurea Triennale or Diploma Academico di Primo Nivello in Italy). Furthermore, Master diplomas are not accepted.[Salto de ajuste de texto]
  • Original Bachelor diploma or a certified copy by a public notary or the Spanish consulate of the country where the diploma was issued.
  • Official Transcript of Records or a certified copy by a public notary or the Spanish consulate of the country where the diploma was issued. Moreover, the European Diploma Supplement is accepted as well. The transcript must include a list of the courses taken, the credits gained, the grades awarded and the academic years or semesters in which the courses were carried out.
  • An original letter, duly signed and sealed by the university where the diploma was issued, certifying that the diploma is valid for accessing to a Master or Postgraduate in the country of origin.

 

The above mentioned documents are only accepted in English, French, Italian or Portuguese. In case that the language of the Bachelor diploma and/or the Transcript of records (including the text and/or the seal of the public notary in certified copies) is different from one of aforementioned languages, an official sworn translation of these documents into Spanish or English language will be required as well.

4 Students with university diploma of other countries (including United Kingdom)

Identity accreditation

  • DNI (students with Spanish nationality)
  • ID card or passport (students with the following nationalities): Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, The Netherlands, Romania, Switzerland and Sweden.
  • Passport (other countries)

 

Academic documents

  • Only Bachelor university diplomas with a study plan of minimum 180 ECTS are accepted. Furthermore, Master diplomas are not accepted.
  • Original Bachelor diploma or a certified copy by a public notary or the Spanish consulate of the country where the diploma was issued.
  • Official Transcript of Records or a certified copy by a public notary or the Spanish consulate of the country where the diploma was issued. The transcript must include a list of the courses taken, the credits gained, the grades awarded and the academic years or semesters in which the courses were carried out.
  • An original letter, duly signed and sealed by the university where the diploma was issued, certifying that the diploma is valid for accessing to a Master or Postgraduate in the country of origin.

 

The above mentioned documents are only accepted in English, French, Italian or Portuguese. Legalization of documents

Bachelor diplomas and Transcript of records will have to be legalized by diplomatic means in the country where the diploma was issued. Depending on the country, one of the following legalizations is accepted:

A. Countries members of the Convention of The Hague: The Hague Apostille: In order to obtain some information about the member countries and the competent authorities in each country, check this link.

B. Countries which are NOT members of the Convention of The Hague: Both the Bachelor diploma and the Transcript of records will have to be legalized with the following stamps:

  • Spanish Consulate in the country where the Bachelor diploma was issued
  • Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the country where the Bachelor diploma was issued
  • Ministry of Education in the country where the Bachelor diploma was issued

 

*Remark: In case that one of the above mentioned seals is written in a language different from Spanish, English, French or Portuguese. An official sworn translation of these seals into Spanish or English language will be required as well.

5 Students without a university degree

Exceptionally, the master’s director may authorize applicants, who they believe have enough knowledge to follow the master’s and are qualified, to take the programme even without a university degree. Students in this situation will obtain, after the master’s conclusion, a University Specialist certificate.

At enrolment, we will ask the applicants to fill out a declaration confirming knowledge that you will receive a University Specialization certificate instead of a master’s degree.

Documents to submit:

  • Photocopy of valid ID card for students with Spanish nationality.
  • Passport or valid NIE in case of having another nationality.
